# Methodology & sources

## Read information alongside its sources

Herbadex presents herbs alongside their uses, evidence levels and safety information. Browse by need or preparation form and compare related herbs.

Cited EMA and WHO monographs, reviews and studies appear in source links where available. Publication status alone does not indicate review by a health professional.

## Reading the evidence levels

A — Strong clinical evidence. B — Limited clinical evidence. C — Laboratory or animal evidence. T — Traditional use. Each badge refers to a particular benefit, not every use of a herb.

Traditional use is not clinical evidence of effectiveness. Unassessed records display “Evidence not assessed” instead of a rating.

## Safety and updates

Unknown does not mean safe. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, children and drug interactions are assessed separately. Filters apply recorded labels; they do not make personal treatment decisions.

Content is updated through new sources and editorial review. The last review date is not a guarantee of the next review or personal medical approval.

This page is for information only and is not medical advice. If you take medication, are pregnant, or have a health condition, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use.
